I am a Lecturer in International Relations in the Department of Politics
at the University of Exeter. I previously taught at the London School of
Economics and the University of Oxford. I am a Member of the Senior Common Room
at St Antony's College, Oxford.
My primary research interests are in the
field of international political economy, particularly the politics of world
trade. I also have strong interests in the conceptual analysis of power and
legitimacy, international relations theory, and political sociology. I have a
particular interest in applying the ideas of Pierre Bourdieu to world politics.
My first monograph, provisionally titled Symbolic Power in the WTO, will be published by Oxford University Press in 2012. Elsewhere, my most recent articles have been published in New Political Economy and Millennium.
